One of the all-time great names in the motoring world is that of Hispano Suiza.

It was in 1904, when a Spanish company producing the Marc Birkigt designed Castro car ran into financial difficulties and was reformed, that the Hispano Suiza was born.

For the next forty years Hispano Suizas were made in their native Barcelona, a fact rather overlooked as the company's Paris factory built those cars of the 1920's and 30's which give the marque world renown.
