After the victory at Le Mans in 1966, Henry Ford II decided to return in 1967 with a redesigned race car. Now built in America, at Kar Kraft in Dearborn, and meticulously prepared by Carroll Shelby's winning crew, the new 427 c.i. Ford MKIV, was ready to go back to the continent and confront the red army of IL Commandatore Enzo Ferrari.
A young Swiss mechanic Phil Henny, joined the Shelby team and participated in the development and construction of the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans winner driven by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt.
This fabulous experience allowed him to embark on a fantastic journey into the American racing scene!
