John Reynolds first slung his leg over a bike when he was just ten months old. It was a small home-made trike and he started riding this long before he could walk. Little did his parents realise that 'JR' had discovered his career and would go on to become a six-times British Champion motorcycle racer and one of the most popular riders in the paddock.

In an action-packed autobiography that is in turns funny, heart-warming and inspiring, he talks candidly about every aspect of growing up to become a motorcycle superstar, from boyhood stunts on his pushbike to teenage motocross, riding his dad's 250cc Velocette in vintage events, competing a Team Green Kawasaki in leathers loaned by Ron Haslam, and on to a rollercoaster of a career that included campaigning the World 500cc Championship on a Padgetts Harris Yamaha, World Superbike with Reve Racing Kawasaki and Team Suzuki, and British Superbike with Reve Red Bull Ducati and, from 2002 to 2005, Rizla Suzuki.

From the high-points of life as a racer and as a loving husband and father, to the desperate lows of his final season and the life-threatening crash that ended his career, he gives a fascinating insight into
competing in one of the hardest and most unforgiving sports in the world.

The book is co-written with Jason McClean, who has known John Reynolds for many years, latterly in his PR and marketing role with Rizla Suzuki. McClean, a journalist, was chief reporter at Motor Cycle News and later edited the motorcycle trade magazine Inside Line.
