Launched ten years after the new E-type stunned the motoring world, the Series III with its V12 engine became one of the greatest sports cars ever built in England. It developed 272bhp at 5850 rpm, had four Zenith carburettors and recorded a 0-60mph in 6.4 secs. Very smooth running, it is easy to exceed the speed limit.
