This is the classic 2014 Ducati Yearbook - English Edition, Hardcover, ISBN: 9788895684697

- usual Ducati syndicated contributors for yet another notable year !

Throughout 2014, Ducati has been competing internationally, not only on the racetrack, but above all in order to win over potential customers among the world's passionate motorcycling enthusiasts.
Economic uncertainty and growing market complexity - both national and international - have been particularly challenging, but have driven us to establish and consolidate qualities which are vital in a competitive scenario, and which have always been part of our nature. We have strengthened our commitment toward research and technological innovation, and this has enabled us to reinforce our product range. And if on the one hand we have focused on the quality by offering increasingly new and sophisticated technical solutions, on the other hand we have unleashed our creative spirit to quench our desire for novelty, lightheartedness and fun; so we reinvented the Scrambler, awarded "Most Beautiful Bike" by the public at this year's EICMA motorshow.
When it comes to lines and shapes, our passion for perfection in terms of design has always won enviable awards. This year, however, something quite unique happened: for the first time since 1954, the Italian Association for Industrial Design conferred the world's most prestigious ADI Compasso d'Oro International Award to a motorcycle. The 1199 Panigale received the prize and demonstrated how Ducat "transferred competition level performance to an elegant production-line model that remains consistent with the brand's traditional image".
As a result, utmost commitment towards the product, along with both scrupulous and dynamic management of the company as a whole, has allowed us to further increase our sales, despite the ongoing economic crisis.
Luigi Dall'Igna will tell you in his own words about his first year in Ducati. I want to take this opportunity to give him credit for having risen to such an important challenge and for having dealt with it in the best possible way, feeding energy and determination back into our bikes, rekindling the pride of belonging in all the DUCATISTI, and allowing us to look toward our future on the racetrack with renewed confidence.
Knowing that everyone's role in our company is important, I wish to thank all the people who through their presence, their work and their trust enable Ducati, such an extraordinary company, to continue to grow.
The wealth of values, people and products with which we are ready to face 2015 will allow us to focus our energy on the future with determination.
And, why not, with an intrepid pinch of madness too.

Happy 2015 to you all!
