The Yamaha YFS200 Blaster is a highly successful and popular sport all-terrain vehicle.
The engine on all models is an air-cooled two-stroke single, equipped with a counterbalancer to reduce vibration.
The front suspension uses a coil spring/shock absorber unit and upper and lower control arms on each side of the vehicle. The rear suspension uses a swingarm, supported by a single shock absorber and coil spring.
The braking system uses a drum brake at each front wheel and a single disc brake mounted on the rear axle, inboard of the wheels. All three brakes are actuated by cables.
Chain final drive is used at the rear of all models covered in this manual.
The electrical system consists of ignition and lighting systems. The engine is started with a kickstarter.
