Description

Author: Neville Webb, Hardcover, 206 Pages, ISBN: WEBB206, First Published , 2005 - Very rare book in excellent new condition !

A history of the four Sunbeam Motor Car Company's Racing Cars built for the French Grand Prix at Strasbourg on 15th July 1922.

Their entrenched conventional history following the Grand Prix, over the past 84 years, is analysed and reviewed together with the prevailing conjecture of who drove each of the cars at the Grand Prix. Past ownerships of the cars and their competitive appearances are recorded.

The history of the 1.5 Litre Sunbeam Racing Engines constructed in the period 1921-1925 has been established. The "Badge Engineering" of them as Talbot and/or Darracq is examined in detail as is the contemporary terminology of "Marine" for some of these engines.
