This book provides an exceptional, private insight into the racing world of the fifties, sixties and seventies.
Taken by Marianne, Princess zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, these images bring the beholder closer not only to the celebrities of the age, such as Gunter Sachs, Marlene Lauda and David Niven, but also to the full breadth of racing nobility
- from Jochen Rindt to Graham Hill and Paul von Metternich.
This book was created in the spring and summer of 2014. It was an unbelievable pleasure to meet the princess. Flied with a lust for life and a wealth of sparkling, charming anecdotes and unerring wit, she made our meeting an extraordinary and extremely warm experience.
This book was compiled with the assistance of her two sons Prince Alexander and Prince Peter of Sayn-Wittgenstein. This incredibly creative and open process of collaboration was crucial to the uniquely personal composition of this book.
We hope that this spirit of a great citizen of the world and inquisitive photographer is evident on every page. It is, quite simply, a book of the century
