Description
By: Practical Classics .
This book is based on the original Reliant Scimitar Restoration "mini" book, which has been updated (improved in quality) and had a further 30 pages added. All coverage is compiled from articles which originally appeared in Practical Classics & Car Restorer
All the mechanical work was done on the Practical Classics "staff car" Scimitar, which had been thoroughly well used (at an average of 30 000 miles a year). The work was carried out by Eric Gilbert and Ted Landon, with the magazine coverage undertaken by John Williams (the then editor).
The Scimitar v Stag feature is a fascinating "head to head" comparison between two cars which were both very similar in appeal but, completely different in concept. The subject of glass fibre was expertly covered by Miles Wilkins (the famous Lotus specialist) and is an invaluable guide to the subject. The whole book probably now represents the most comprehensive DIY guide to the Scimitar available anywhere. We are sure that owners and enthusiasts will find it useful and interesting.
