Later the engine range was extended to include 2.2 litre (2171 cc) and 3.0 litre (2979 cc) DOHC 24V engines, and in March 2001 the 2.0 litre (1995 cc) 'Valvetronic' engine joined the range, followed by the 1.8 litre (1796 cc) version. At first, models were available in four-door Saloon form only, but later a whole range of different body styles was made available.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll engines are derived from the well-proven engines which have appeared in many BMW vehicles.
