Plymouth had already produced the Fury by this time and were making changes to the styling to reduce weight. The Barracuda was introduced a few weeks before the Mustang in 1964 but did not really have the muscle to compete until a redesign in 1967, which included the 383 engine. A V8 was introduced in 1969. As with other muscle cars of the period the early 1970s, emissions directive and safety regulations killed off the genre.
This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, specification and technical data, driver's impressions, new model introductions and history.
Models include:
Barracuda, 'Cuda, Satellite, VIP, GTX, Road Runner, Duster, Superbird.
