Accompanying the authoritative text are over 230 photographs, the majority of them specially commissioned, showing the

Peter Morgan is superbly qualified to write this book. On the ownership side, he bought his first Porsche, a 1973 911T, in 1978, and has not been without one since. On the practical side, he carried out a ground-up restoration of his present 911S 2.4, doing all the work himself except for repairs to the body structure. On the writing side, he was Editor of Porsche Post, Porsche Club GB's award-winning quarterly magazine, between 1990-94, he has contributed articles on Porsche topics to many magazines world-wide, and he has written three books about Porsches.
On the research side, he has frequently visited the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, and much of the information he has gathered appears in this book. And on the driving side, he has experienced most 911 models over the years.
A chartered engineer by training, he lives in Marlborough, Wiltshire, with his wife, two daughters and one son.
John Colley is an outstanding photographer whose work appears in car magazines all over the world. Having trained as an industrial photographer with Rolls-Royce aero engines, he made his name initially as a freelance motor racing photographer. Later he broadened into
all aspects of motoring photography, and nowadays he runs a thriving photographic agency based near Derby. Porsche 911s are a passion and he owns the 1987 Club Sport featured in this book. He took the photographs for this book, his fourth Original title, on Fujichrome Velvia film using Canon Eos 35mm and Mamiya RB67 medium-format cameras.
