Three of the best Australian Touring Car Championship rounds from the electrifying 1980s and turbo-charged 1990s — plus a World Championship bonus race ...
The Group A era of the Australian Touring Car Championship between 1985 and 1992 saw a wide range of cars from different brands tackle one another on tracks all over the country.
A follow up to Chevron's popular 2013 release, this double-DVD second volume covers three more memorable rounds — plus a bonus World Championship-status race — from the Seven Sport archives.
We start with the opening round of the 1985 ATCC at Winton — the very first held to international Group A rules in Australia. Dominated by the BMW of eventual champion Jim Richards, this round gave the first look to the new world of touring car racing in this country as well as introduced Seven Sport as ATCC broadcasters.

The second race featured is Round 3 from 1989 at Lakeside in Queensland, where a fiery, multi-car accident saw the race stopped and restarted. It's a classic with hometown hero Dick Johnson battling Peter Brock in turbo Sierras as chaos unfolded around them.
The third ATCC round in 1992, is the two-race opening round from the defunct Amaroo Park in Sydney as Brock's V8 Mobil Commodore caused an upset against the turbo Sierras and Nissan GT-Rs in the last year of Group A rules in Australia.
As an extra special bonus we've also included the Calder Park round of the 1987 World Touring Car Championship in full — all four hours — including all of the action that occurred within the commercial breaks. Held a week after a controversial Bathurst, this race featured the world's best touring car teams and drivers up against Aussie racing legends including Brock, Johnson, Allan Moffat, Allan Grice, Jim Richards and Glenn Seton. The unique combined road and 'Thunderdome' oval course played host as Sierras, Commodores, BMWs, Skylines and plenty more went to war over 120 laps.
