A Brooklands 'Road Test' book
For more than 40 years, Brooklands Books have been publishing compilations of road tests and other articles from the English speaking world's leading motoring magazines. We have already published more than 700 titles, and in these we have made available to motoring enthusiasts some 25,000 stories which would otherwise have become hard to find. For the most part, our books focus on a single model, and as such they have become an invaluable source of information. As Bill Boddy of Motor Sport was kind enough to write when reviewing one of our Gold Portfolio volumes, the Brooklands catalogue "must now constitute the most complete historical source of reference available, at least of the more recent makes and models."
Even so, we are constantly being asked to publish new titles on cars which have a narrower appeal than those we have already covered in our main series. The economics of book production make it impossible to cover these subjects in our main series, but Limited Edition and Limited Edition Extra volumes, like this one, give us a way to tackle these less popular but no less worthy subjects.
Both the Limited Edition and Limited Edition Extra series maintain the same high standards of presentation and reproduction set by our established ranges. However, each volume is printed in smaller quantities - which is perhaps the best reason we can think of Why you should buy this book now. We would also like to remind readers that we are always open to suggestions for new titles; perhaps your club or interest group would like us to consider a book on your particular subject?
Finally, we are more than pleased to acknowledge that Brooklands Books rely on the help and co-operation of those who publish the magazines where the articles in our books originally appeared. For this present volume, we gratefully acknowledge the continued support of the publishers of Auto International, Autocar, Autocourse, Autosport, Cars, Classic & Sports Car, Classic Cars. Face! Vega, Motor, Motor Life, Motor Sport, Motor Trend, Practical Classics, Road & Track, Spores Car Graphic, Sports Cars Illustrated, Sports Car International, Wheels and the World Car Catalogue for allowing us to include their valuable and informative copyright stories.
