Following the success of 'Colin Seeley ...Racer and the rest' this second volume covers the period from 1970 to the present day. Colin's career is a roller-coaster ride from boardroom to bailiffs, from frame-making to Formula One, sponsorship, team management. The list, like Colin's energy, is endless.
His association with Dr. Gordon Blair at Queens University Belfast in the development of the QUB 500cc two-stroke racer, caught the imagination of many, along with the Seeley G50 road-going Condor. With Motor Racing Developments — Brabham, Colin oversaw the production of one hundred and five F2/F3 Brabham racing cars, before returning to the manufacturing of Seeley-Hondas, Phil Read Replicas and TL200 Honda trials bikes in association with Honda UK. Back to Brabham as Formula One Race Team co-ordinator he was appointed team manager in 1987. In 1994 under Colin's management, the Duckhams-Norton Rotary Team won the British Superbike Championship. 1995 brought more winning success with the official Castrol-Honda Superbike Team in the IOM TT. In 1997 he established the first GSE Superbike Team, followed by his management of Australian Karl Muggeridge who in 2004 achieved the World Supersport Championship title. In 2006 he organized the fiftieth anniversary of Mallory Park bringing together such greats as John Surtees, Giacomo Agostini, John Cooper, Phil Read and Franco Bonera. Also included is Colin's meticulously detailed account of the unbelievable behind the scenes intrigue during the last years at Norton.
Now at seventy-two and current President of the TTRA, Colin is as energetic and enthusiastic as ever about his sport, and this shines through on every page.
