About the Author
JOHN JULIAN is a 57-year-old maritime author based in Waiuku, New Zealand. 1967 is his fifth book and his first on the subject of motor racing. He has competed both offshore and onshore, having been brought up by the water in Southern England and taken an early interest in cars. 1967 is the result of a discussion with Chris Amon, who not only gave his full support to the project but whose enduring popularity with his fellow Formula One drivers and other senior figures in the world of Grand Prix racing made the business of arranging interviews so much easier. Chris continues to invest much of his time helping others in motor racing and is an internationally recognised sporting ambassador for his country as well as being the only New Zealander ever to lead the Ferrari Grand Prix team.
